Dear fellow students,

the AStA has received many inquiries regarding the 9€-ticket. We would like to give you first information here. However, we would like to emphasize that the information below is only valid with reservations. Because the 9€-Ticket was only decided in the federal cabinet, but an agreement of the Bundestag and Bundesrat is still pending.

From 01.06.22 to 31.08.22 the Semesterticket has the same area of validity as the 9€ Ticket. There is *no* need to buy a 9€ ticket. According to our information, the ticket is valid Germany-wide in local transport (i.e. everything from bus to RE, except special lines). We assume that up to the beginning of the limited period most transportation companies will also develop information material from which it is clear what exactly is included in the 9€ ticket.

Furthermore, the 9€ ticket costs only 27€ in total during the period, which results in a difference of 37,49€ to our semester ticket (128,99€ / 2 - 27€). According to the current status, a refund is planned by the legislator and we are already planning how to make this possible. We will get in touch with you as soon as we do have more information.

We ask you to refrain from further questions regarding the 9€ ticket for the time being.
